Founded to contribute to the realization of the world as one family under God, the American Clergy Leadership Conference, ACLC, celebrates its 20^th anniversary this month. ACLC has continued to work tirelessly to break down barriers between religions in the United States, rebuild families and shattered societies, as well as contribute to the establishment of Cheon-Il Guk. This week we have a special on ACLC. As we look back at its past 20 years, let us draw inspiration from ACLC as they work hard for the establishment of Cheonilguk.

I want to believe in you. Members of the clergy who have gathered here from all over the world!

You are the righteous people prepared by God in this age. What is the mission of righteous people? You should be able to embrace the nation and the world with true love, living for the sake of others, instead of living only for yourselves. This is what the True Mother, the only begotten Daughter is doing. I am guiding fallen people to become Heavenly Parent’s children through the Blessing. You must know that this has been the long-awaited hope and dream of humankind for 6,000 years; and it is also Heavenly Parent’s desire.

Rebuilding broken families, the society, strengthening the values of marriage, building nations and a world that attends Heavenly Parent is the mission of the American Clergy Leadership Conference, ACLC, which was established on May 22, 2000. Until its 20th anniversary in 2020, ACLC has led peace movements around the world centered on True Parents, with the goal of realizing God's will and humanity's ardent desire. ACLC organized the "Peace March", which brought together Jewish, Muslim and Christian leaders in the historic city of Jerusalem, spreading its movement for peace and inter-religious harmony. This action helped to pave the way for peace in the Middle East. On the day ACLC was established, 120 U.S. clergy visited Korea and offered sincere prayers for the reunification of the Korean peninsula. From 2003, ACLC organized the "Peace March", which brought together Jewish, Muslim and Christian leaders in the historic city of Jerusalem, spreading its movement for peace and inter-religious harmony. In addition, several ACLC members have participated in marriage blessings, thus propelling themselves to the forefront of True Families movement. These efforts have paved the way for understanding and unity between old and new religions, between Christian and Muslim cultures, greatly contributing to the resolution of conflicts in the Middle East. In the year 2017, ACLC launched the " Peace Starts with Me " Festival which brought together thousands of faithful and influential Christian leaders worldwide with the aim of contributing to inter-religious harmony and peace in the world. This movement spread to the providential homeland, Korea, where a great international rally was held for the peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsula.

 

As religious leaders, we are at the forefront in the fight to bring about God’s kingdom of peace. Let us join Mother Moon, the Only Begotten Daughter, in healing marriages, building bridges between religions and ultimately bringing peace to the world! This has been God’s long cherished dream.

 

400 religious leaders from 60 countries, supported by ACLC members, came together to discuss about peace in Korea and in the world. Aware of the role and responsibility of religious in achieving world peace, members of the clergy have drafted a resolution to help create the Interreligious Association for Peace and Development, IAPD.

 

This is like heaven, what I would think it would be. All these different people have come, and we share and we're all uniting on the ideal of peace and that we can achieve it.

 

The journey of unity that transcends racial, national, and religious barriers led to the creation of the World Clergy Leadership Conference, WCLC. After confessing that Korea is a providential nation living within the authority and sovereignty of God's guidance, the ACLC members and Korean pastors took part in the establishment of the Korean Clergy Leadership Conference, KCLC.  On this basis, 1,000 Christian leaders, including 600 pastors from 70 countries and 400 ACLC members, met in New York, USA, where they led a forum to discuss the realization of a united world centered on Heavenly Parent. In spite of their various racial, cultural and national differences, they were all united around the vision of one human family under God, and with 25,000 Christian believers present, they held the historic ceremony marking the creation of WCLC.

The magnanimity of the vision that we are expostulating here today is that it doesn’t matter what color you are, it doesn’t matter what denomination you are, when it comes to making this world a better place, peace begins with me. And might I say, who in the world has decided to take on a vision of this magnitude is because Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon because if we are in here today, it is because we want unity.

 

In her message, True Mother insisted on the role and mission of religious leaders in the creation of WCLC.

please remember that the founding of the World Clergy Leadership Conference, which will bring your individual foundations into unity, is the way to realize Heavenly Parent’s dream and humankind’s hope in the shortest time I pray that you will all become the righteous people and religious leaders standing in the vanguard and that will not look back, but run forward.

 

Members of various faiths offered to God their resolutions endorsing the creation of WCLC, marking the beginning of a new history thanks to True Mother. By laying this foundation through which many can unite and serve God as their loving parent, True Mother was able to offer to God the events commemorating the centennial of the birth of True Father and the 60th anniversary of True Parents' Holy Wedding. And today she has proclaimed "Heavenly Parent's Holy Community", where all citizens of the world will be able to unite under God and True Parents. Through True Parents' tireless efforts for the United States and the world, ACLC was created, through which citizens from around the world can gather under Heavenly Parent. Now, we yearn for the day when all mankind will be united, centered on "Heavenly Parent's Holy Community".

Hyojeong Cheonbo Seminar # 1512 (Video Workshop)

May 17  

 

The 1512th Cheonbo Special Seminar held on May 17 at the main temple in Cheongpyeong was filmed, edited, and presented a week later in each district of Japan. The event felt like a shower of blessings from True Parents, as they had been waiting for it for 3 months. Over 17,000 people joined this workshop, 16,701 had registered online, this was a historical breakthrough, for the first time 10,233 people blessed their ancestors online, around 7761 blessed their ancestors through video conference. Only a small number of leaders and representatives gathered in Japan for the workshop, following the 1-meter COVID 19 protocol. At the same time when this video workshop was happening, the staff of the Cheonbo Training Center in Korea supported them through a special prayer session at the Jeongshimwon

 

Korea’s Sub-region 4 - Tribal Messiahs to be launched by 2027

The directors of Sub-Region 4 and 5, accompanied by 300 people attended and celebrated the "Jeol-la Region Tribal Messiah Kick-Off Event for the Victory of Vision 2027". The event began with Vice-Director Im Jong Hyuk’s welcoming message, followed by presentations on strategies that created a strong vision for the Sub-Region, and then people who read over 1000 times True Mother’s letter were also recognized. Reverend Lee Gi-seong conveyed the deep meaning of the providence of Heavenly Parent's Holy Community, calling us to live in a manner worthy of God's applause. Even though the blessed families in the sub-region followed the event live on the Internet, as a result of the social distancing imposed by COVID 19, they nevertheless demonstrated ardent hyojeong hearts and unity with the True Parents, reaffirming their determination to achieve the victory of Vision 2027.

 

South America, The Launching Ceremony of Heavenly Parent's Holy Community for the Firm Establishment of a Heavenly Unified World

Latin America also celebrated The Launching Ceremony of Heavenly Parent's Holy Community for the Firm Establishment of a Heavenly Unified World. Due to the spread of the COVID 19, families viewed the video of the proclamation made by the True Mother online and sub-regional leaders called for the devotion and determination of all members with respect to the fostering the Community and Heavenly Unified World.

 

Brazil, Online Hoondok and Education Activities

April and May 2020

 

Many HTM activities and DP lectures where conducted online in Brazil. In order to ensure that all members of the Brazilian family can carry on a religious life, every morning, the head of the Family Federation shared words from True Parents. Other recordings that were widely disseminated were Divine Principle lectures from 1-day, 3-day and 7- day workshops. The Youth groups on the other hand, frequently used Zoom. Twice a week, there were an 80-minute DP lecture, 40 minutes of Jeongseong and Prayer as well as 30 minutes of meditation and CAUSA education. They are also preparing basic supplies to help families suffering from Covid-19.

 

Heavenly Korea, 10^th Thursday Religious Prayer Meeting for Peace on the Korean Peninsula and the New Unification of Korea

 

The good influence of religion is being threatened due to the prolonged Covid-19 crisis, in the midst of all that, IAPD & The Association of Korean Religions, who are both dreaming of a peaceful world and a unified Korea, had a meeting with 50 leaders from different religious groups. This prayer meeting took place while observing the quarantine safety guidelines given by the authorities…. The religious leaders lit a candle and prayed for unification and world peace.

Religious leaders, who reflected the heart of God, renewed their vows to console people in difficulty as well as cooperate in harmony.

 

Korea, Prayer and volunteer activities to commemorate the 70 years since the Korean War began,

May 25

 

The Korean Association of Religions and the Korean Association of Religious Women conducted a memorial service and volunteer activity at the National Cemetery on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the war. The event was attended by 30 representatives of different religions in Korea all working together for a unified Korea under God.

Afterwards, they had volunteer activities where they removed withered flowers and waved their flags creating a beautiful environment. They also placed a floral tribute at the tomb of True Mother's uncle on her mother's side, Col. Hong Soon- jeong after reflecting on his life and work.

 

Volunteer activities and Liberation of Patriots who had died hoping for the unification of North Korea and South Korea

May 25, Seoul National Memorial Hall

 

On that day, in commemoration of the UN forces that participated in the Korean War 70 years ago, 170 people from Korea’s Sub-region 1 went to the Seoul National Memorial Hall to pray and liberate the souls of patriots who died fighting and hoping for North–South Unification. A group from the Hyojeong Volunteer Corps came and together had a moment together of remembrance, prayer and reflection on the path of these patriotic souls. They then cleaned the cemetery, removing withered flowers, weeds and garbage. The Hyojeong Volunteer Corps pledged to continue to carry out similar volunteer work and promote the spirit of patriotism.

 

UPF Korea, 2020 Workshop for Regional Branch Directors

Heavenly Parents’ Holy Community of the Universal Peace Federation - Korea held its 2020 Workshop for Regional Branch Directors

Its president, Professor Moon Yeon-ah, thanked the UPF for this act of re-launching the organization in accordance with the will of True Mother and asked that they discuss and exchange opinions so that the work in the field will be suitable for achieving the objectives of the institution. Secretary General Lee Hyun-young urged to train UPF members and ensure support for the establishment of the Cheonilguk while strengthening the organization through a comprehensive national agenda and regional projects. Vice President Song Gwang-seuk referred to the Peace Road Project, which is supported by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, as a means of boosting the public spirit and helping fellow countrymen overcome the pandemic with a vision of hope. Local leaders outlined their plans of action and a program of community activities towards Vision 2027, in order to engage citizens into a movement centered on Heavenly Parent's Holy Community.

 

UPF New Zealand, Meeting with Peace Ambassadors on creating a family culture

The New Zealand government banned meetings of more than 10 people due to Covid-19. So, on the UN International Day of Families, the 15^th of May, UPF held an hour-long videoconference on the theme, 'How to cultivate a healthy family culture'. Twenty people participated in this videoconference, and the instructors gave a deep explanation of family values.

Sunhak and UPA Academy Education Program

May 22–24, Cheonwon Complex

 

In the beautiful Cheonwon Complex, an educational program was held for the Sunmoon Sunhak UPA cadets, the future leaders who grew up under the loving care of True Mother. The Head of the Secretariat of True Mother's secretariat, Mrs Jeong Won-ju, gave talks on Providence to the 140 participants and shared with them how much devotion and prayer True Mother is investing in them, urging them to lead a life of service and filial piety. In a special talk on Providence, International Headquarters Director General Yun Young-ho remarked that if they live with an attitude of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience, God will work with them. Having learned about True Parents' heart the cadets participated in sports competitions and prayer sessions and, just as God's dream became True Parents' dream, this dream is now also their dream and they are willing to realize it.

 

True Parents have walked an arduous path in order to realize the ideal of One Family under God. Their journey towards a peaceful world will forever be recorded in history and today—with this new blessing—we move towards a better tomorrow for all mankind, serving God and True Parents.
